Safety Instructions

Th is appliance corresponds to accepted

tech nological standards w ith regards to safety

and to th e Germ an Appliance Safety Law . As

th e m anufacturers, w e neverth eless feel w e

sh ould bring to your attention th e follow ing

points on safety.

General Safety

• Th e appliance sh ould only be connected to

m ains supplies w ith th e sam e voltage and

freq uency ratings as th ose indicated on th e

Ratings Label.

• Never pull th e plug out of th e pow er sock et

by pulling on th e cord.

• Never try to operate th e blender if

– th e casing h as been dam aged,

– th e cord h as been dam aged.

• If th e pow er cord for th is appliance h as been

dam aged, it sh ould only be replaced, for

safety reasons, by th e m anufacturer or

Custom er Service, or by a suitably q ualified

person.

• Repairs to th is appliance m ay only be carried

out by q ualified service engineers.

Considerable danger m ay result from

im proper repairs. If repairs becom e necessary,

please contact th e Custom er Care Departm ent

or your auth orised dealer.

• Th is appliance is not intended for use by

persons (including ch ildren) w ith reduced

ph ysical, sensory or m ental capabilities, or

lack of experience and k now ledge, unless th ey

h ave been given supervision or instruction

concerning use of th e appliance by a person

responsible for th eir safety.

Ch ild Safety

• Do not leave th e appliance running w h ile

unattended, or let ch ildren near th e appliance

unsupervised!

• Ch ildren sh ould be supervised to ensure th at

th ey do not play w ith th e appliance.

W h en operating th e appliance:

• Never operate th e appliance w ith your h ands

bare.

• Plastic parts sh ould never be dried at or near

direct sources of h eat.

• Th e appliance m ust not be used for m ixing

dyes (paints, or lacq uer, etc,). Th is can cause

explosions!

• W h en you h ave finish ed using th e appliance,

before cleaning, sw itch off and pull th e plug

out of th e sock et.

• Th e blade assem bly sh ould only be

disassem bled by an auth orised tech nician.

• Never clean th e m otor casing under running

w ater or soapy w ater.

• Caution! Th e blade assem bly is very sh arp.

Be careful w h en tak ing th e blender apart and

re- assem bling. It m ay cause injury if h andled

incorrectly

• Do not leave h ard objects (for exam ple

spoons) in th e blade assem bly w h ile running,

and do not grasp th e appliance w ith th e h and

inside th e blender tank . Th is m ay cause

injury!

• Th e m anufactuer w ill not be responsible for

any dam age due to inappropriate use or

incorrect operation.
